Responsibilities: 
  • Research and develop new business opportunities while generating new potential leads.
  • Manage cold calls, set up meetings and negotiate contracts.
  • Builds and strengthens relationships with current and new customers
  • Acts as a customer liaison
  • Works collaboratively across the organization and serves as a conduit for ensuring customers’ needs are met
  • Prospects for new business development opportunities 
  • Makes introductory calls and utilizes consultative selling skills to qualify customer requirements.
  • Develops end user relationships and gains access to the next level buying influences
  • Positions as a business partner by demonstrating an understanding of the customer’s business model, process, and project margins
  • Tailors the selling process to the customer’s objectives and successfully presents business cases that demonstrate intangible benefits
  • Sets pricing and discount structure, presents proposals to customers and follows up to move open opportunities through the sales funnel and close new business
  • Monitors feedback on customer satisfaction and implementing strategies and tactics for increasing customer market share.
  • Conducts customer training and/or educates customers
  • Follows company safety rules, operational guidelines and procedures.
  • Maintains CRM database, files, and other necessary documentation to support the sales and marketing function.
Qualifications: 
  • Strong desire to enhance your sales career
  • Prior technology sales experience (retail, B2B, telephone)
  • Internal drive to do well and be successful with a strong work ethic to make it happen
  • Ability or strong desire to learn to get past gatekeepers to gain access to decision makers
  • Natural ability to negotiate
  • Strong analytical and math skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to ask questions, truly listen and observe unspoken messages to fully understand client needs
  • An affinity for technology and the ability to show how it can help local businesses achieve their goals, take care of their customers, and help their employees be more productive.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and web products
  • CRM experience a plus
Salary: $30,000 per year plus competitive commission
