Full Time IT Systems Specialist
Responsibilities include:
 
  • System Innovation including championing projects to expand system capabilities, customized system requirements, make system improvements and map out opportunities for improvement of system accuracy.
  • Interface with internal stakeholders and external provider, roadmap development, and project management
  • Website updates and optimization including system interface needs to ensure sales, ecommerce and leads are optimized. 
  • System report generation & project leadership
  • Manage company hardware and software assets
  • Manage servers, storage devices, firewalls, network switches and routers, IP Phone and WIFI Systems to ensure we are always on and always secure.
  • General knowledge of database servers and query functions, reporting tools, and backup strategies supporting data integrity.
  • Backup operations and participation in development and maintenance of disaster recovery, business continuity, and emergency operations plans.
  • Help desk ownership by performing first level hardware/software troubleshooting for all aspects of the IT environment including systems, networks, servers and software.  On-call for emergency IT rescue needs
  • Identify, research, and document root-cause analysis and resolutions to issues arising in the support of continuous system operations.
  • Develop and assist educating users in the use of implemented software and hardware technologies.
  • System application and process documentation and training when needed

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related technical field
  • Experience in information systems or related field OR a combination of experience, education, and training that would indicate the level of skills, knowledge, and abilities required to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, Office productivity software, SQL databases and maintenance mgmt. software.
  • Strong understanding of the fundamentals of network and desktop administration, installations, upgrades, techniques, tools, materials, and equipment.
  • Demonstrated experience in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of client/server systems and infrastructure.
  • Experience with SQL database and using a Linx Platform
  • Knowledge of common protocols such as: SSH, HTTPS, SMTP, NTP, LDAP, and SFTP/SCP, and VPNs
  • Understands importance of adhering to security standards.
  • Self-Starter, able to work independently, multi-task, complete tasks on time and produce quality, detail-oriented work.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and supporting of various systems in LAN/WAN topologies using TCP/IP.
  • Strong critical thinking, analysis, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Listens effectively and asks questions to identify needs and share information.
  • Highly motivated with a desire and ability to learn new technologies.
  • Work effectively under pressure and with frequent interruptions.
  • Respond professionally to IT inquiries; understand and evaluate needs of customers; provide technical assistance; and effectively present information and respond to questions from customers.
  • Complete work and projects in a thorough and timely manner.
  • Maintain confidentiality in management and contents of computer systems, databases and other organization information.
  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of job duties and to meet work and organizational goals.
