Position Overview
We are seeking a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to join our client’s team in Warsaw, IN. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality standards for manufacturing processes, materials, products, and suppliers. The ideal candidate will focus on driving continuous improvement, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards, and supporting production through proactive quality initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality systems and manufacturing processes.
  • Partner with Engineering and Operations to ensure successful transfer of new products into production.
  • Manage the Material Review Board (MRB) process and oversee the control of nonconforming materials in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 standards.
  • Track scrap and rework costs while implementing corrective actions to reduce quality-related expenses.
  • Maintain and support the Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) database, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution of quality concerns.
  • Assist with internal quality audits and verify completion of corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement quality procedures, assembly processes, and error-proofing (Poka-Yoke) methods.
  • Audit previously implemented corrective actions to ensure continued compliance.
  • Support the ongoing maintenance and success of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.
  • Assist with quality training and calibration program activities.
  • Develop and maintain Control Plans and Process Failure Mode & Effects Analyses (PFMEAs).
  • Work with suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Prepare quality assurance reports and documentation.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred.
  • 1–5 years of quality engineering or quality control experience.
  • Experience implementing quality systems and continuous improvement tools.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, databases, and ERP systems.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, including GD&T and datum references.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, including 5S and Kaizen.
  • Experience with root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control systems, and production methods.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and influencing continuous improvement initiatives.
Working Conditions
  • Regular exposure to manufacturing environments requiring personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses and hearing protection.
  • Ability to work in non-climate-controlled manufacturing areas.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while performing office-based tasks.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Occasional travel (approximately 10%) may be required.

Pay: $80,000/yearly
