Production Operator

Imediate opening for a Production Operator in the Dayton, OH area.  This is a temp-to-hire opportunity!

MUST be able to do basic math, use a computer ERP system, willing to learn and can be flexible, perform a variety of tasks, strong analytical skills with great attention to detail, strong teamwork, a positive attitude and communication skills.  Any experience operating a machine, it would be a plus.

Hours: M-F 6:00am-2:30pm
Pay rate: $17.50/hr.

SUMMARY:
You will be providing the finishing touches to products before they are supplied to our customers.  This is an ideal position for an individual that has a keen eye for the smallest details and enjoys being hands on while working with a dynamic team.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare finished products for shipment to customers, which includes but is not limited to; visual/dimensional inspection, tape, slit, roll, fold, and package.

Ability to follow work rules to produce pre-mixes and use machinery/equipment required to operate the belt filter, spray dryer, small-dot, and stripe coating processes.

Input data into ERP system to assist with production operation tracking.

Adheres to the Quality Policy, including all items assigned to this position in accordance with ISO, FDA & Company policies, procedures, and work instructions.

Maintains safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
The candidate must possess a high school diploma or GED.  Successful characteristics include being detail oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working well under pressure within a team environment.  Candidate must have the ability to read and follow work instructions.  Candidates must be computer literate with a good working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Working conditions are normal for a warehouse environment with varying temperatures depending on the external climate and specific work cell.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; kneel; climb; crouch or crawl; talk or hear.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.  Working in this environment may require the use of safety equipment such as eye safety glasses and hearing protectors.  Some mandatory overtime may be required.
