Contract HR Generalist

Summary
Responsible for supporting key HR functions including employee relations, recruitment, benefits administration, performance management, training, compliance, and HRIS processes. This role partners with managers and employees to support a positive workplace culture and ensure effective HR operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a point of contact for HR-related questions and employee support
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and new hire orientation processes
  • Administer benefits programs and assist with open enrollment
  • Manage employee relations issues and provide guidance to supervisors
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws
  • Maintain accurate HR records, reports, and HRIS data
  • Support safety programs, workers’ compensation, and return-to-work processes
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors, including staffing agencies
  • Assist with HR projects, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of HR generalist experience
  • Knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and HRIS systems
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP certification
  • Experience in manufacturing or multi-site environments
