As a production supervisor you will oversee critical functions in the areas of preparing our clients castings for delivery. This includes overseeing teams responsible for the following operations:
- Removing molding materials from the part
- Sawing off excess metal
- Rough machining
- Hand Grinding
- Repair Welding
- Media Blasting
- Non Destructive testing such as UV penetrant inspection, X-ray inspection, and CMM dimensional analysis
- Shipping
Responsibilities
- Ensuring deadlines are met and orders are shipped on-time.
- Setting the standard of performance for workgroup associates and managing results, based on departmental business objectives.
- Supervising team members, managing daily activities, and orchestrating workforce to match workload for productivity.
- Creating and implementing process improvement initiatives for efficiency and quality.
- Communicating with other departments, dealers, transport carriers, and supply vendors.
- Responsible for the training of new associates on daily activities.
- Ensuring compliance and company policies, OSHA, health, and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- Technical Associate´s Degree preferred, experience considered in lieu of degree.
- Three years supervisory experience in a production environment.
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
- Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong problem solving ability.
- Personal computer skills in MS Office.
- Knowledge of ERP systems a plus. B&L Odyssey huge plus.
- Aluminum TIG Welding experience a plus.
