Overview:
We are seeking a Bilingual Manufacturing Engineer / Trainer to support our production start-up operations. This position requires a motivated, hands-on engineer who is fluent in both Chinese and English and eager to learn and teach manufacturing processes. During the initial start-up phase, this role will focus heavily on training and supporting production teams. Once local U.S. team members are fully trained, the position will transition into a dedicated engineering role aligned with the candidate’s background and expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Learn and master all production processes, equipment operations, and quality standards.
- Serve as a key trainer during the start-up phase, delivering hands-on training and translating technical instructions to bridge communication between teams.
- Support process improvements, troubleshooting, and optimization efforts during start-up.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth production ramp-up and knowledge transfer.
- Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training materials.
- After the initial start-up and training period, transition into a specific Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, or Process Engineering role within the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bilingual fluency in Chinese and English (required).
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Process Engineering (required).
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment with exposure to production processes.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment and adapt to new challenges.
- Willingness to be hands-on on the production floor and engage in technical training.
- Experience with process optimization, lean manufacturing, or equipment setup.
- Prior involvement in facility start-ups or large-scale production launches.
