Job Summary
The material handler is an entry level position reporting to the shift supervisor.  The material handler is responsible for monitoring material levels in the injection mold machines and all necessary support equipment to meet production schedules and maintain required quality standards.  The material handler is also responsible for following all internal policies and procedures while maintaining a safe and clean work environment to minimize workplace injuries.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure proper staging and movement of materials according to work order requirements and updates inventory to ensure availability of raw materials.
  •  Maintains staging, dryer, mixing areas and workstations to ensure they are free of contamination and hazards.
  • Moves finished goods from the production floor to shipping to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.

Qualifications   

  • Previous manufacturing or plastic injection molding experience.
  • Must have well-developed organizational skills and strong interpersonal skills in interacting with management and line level staff.  
  • Experience with window based personal computers and related software.                                       
  • Can use commonsense understanding to work through problems that arise and prioritize tasks.     
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form; deal with problems involving several concrete variables                                                    
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide all units of measure; calculate ratios and percentages using a calculator.                                                    
  • Ability to read technical journals and reports, workplace rules and procedures; complete applicable business-related documents.                                                    
  • Forklift experience, preferred.                                                    
  • High school diploma or GED, required. 
  • Knowledge of scientific molding principles, preferred.                                                  
Schedule: Monday - Thursday 2PM-12AM
Pay: $17 plus 0.50 cent shift differential
