Position Summary
The Utility Technician supports plant operations by performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of utility systems including HVAC, compressed air, water, steam, and electrical distribution. This role ensures reliable operation of all utility equipment to maintain continuous production and facility efficiency. The Utility Technician will also assist in preventive maintenance programs, equipment installation, and emergency response for utility-related issues.

Key Responsibilities
· Monitor, maintain, and repair utility systems including boilers, chillers, compressors, cooling towers, pumps, and water treatment equipment.
· Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
· Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control issues with utility systems.
· Support installation, startup, and commissioning of new utility equipment.
· Document maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
· Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards in all utility operations.
· Respond to emergency breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
· Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to improve reliability and efficiency.
· Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and recommend upgrades or process enhancements.

Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance, HVAC, or utilities preferred.
· 2+ years of experience in utility systems maintenance or industrial maintenance environment.
· Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems for utilities.
· Familiarity with boilers, chillers, compressors, pumps, and related equipment.
· Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
· Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
· Basic computer skills and experience with maintenance software (CMMS).
· Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, and respond to emergency calls as needed.
· Strong commitment to workplace safety and environmental compliance.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM
Pay: $27.00-$30.00/hr
