Procurement Associate

Immediate Opening for a Purchasing Associate in Dayton, Ohio area.
The Purchasing Associate is responsible for providing support to the Purchasing Manager. This role will need to have someone who is energetic, highly organized and able to prioritize as well as work independently.

Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing a variety of components, materials, and processes from the approved supplier list as well as sourcing potential new suppliers.
  • Knowledge of Military components and COTS a plus.
  • Use Excel spreadsheets to perform price and delivery and complete request for quotes.
  • Provides administrative/secretarial support for the companies, such as answering telephones and assisting visitors.
  • Required to become proficient in both the mechanical and electrical- sector.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Purchasing experience of 1-2 years min required.
  • Experienced in manufacturing/machine shop.
  • Experience reading and understanding blueprints preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills, data entry skills and basic computer skills.
  • Microsoft Office experience required.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast- paced, multi-tasking, deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent follow-up and communication skills.

Pay: $20-24/hr
