Immediate Opening for a Shipping Forklift Operator role in Dayton, Ohio!

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely and efficiently operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, stack, and load goods within the warehouse and shipping areas.
• Handle and lift heavy items (up to 100 pounds) as required, ensuring proper lifting techniques and safety protocols are followed.
• Prepare and process shipments, including loading and unloading trucks, verifying inventory, and completing necessary documentation.
• Utilize warehouse management software to track inventory levels, update records, and assist with stock audits.
• Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies and report any issues to the supervisor for resolution.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
• Work closely with other warehouse staff and supervisors to ensure smooth and efficient operations, including assisting with other tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse environment, including experience with heavy lifting and handling various types of loads.
• Valid forklift operator certification required.
• Proficiency with warehouse management software and basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 100 pounds) and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Solid understanding of safety procedures and practices in a warehouse setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM (1-hour lunch)
Pay: $18/hr
