Schedule production floor work according to job priorities and reevaluate the workload numerous times throughout the shift
Operate production machines and test equipment. Check operator paperwork for correctness
Monitor hourly machine performance and quality output.
Inspect finished product for defects, test to make sure material meets design specifications.
Enforce safety rules, PPE adherence and environmental regulations
Perform lab testing on incoming materials to ensure specifications are met.
Ensure that products are made to print and are held to the highest quality standards
Ensure that all operators are following the proper processes and procedures that are required in the performance of their daily duties
Lead daily production meeting and provide status updates shift performance and task completion.
Review, update and manage the production floor employee’s Time & Attendance records in the Time Management System
Work with the Planning team to investigate inventory discrepancies and help identify the root cause for the discrepancy, and then implement procedural changes to eliminate these root cause issues
Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve shop floor metrics
Responsible for all aspects of performance management including interviewing, hiring, training, performance evaluations, and recognition
Provide effective, constructive and appropriate feedback and leadership to direct reports to foster positive, team atmosphere
Ensure personal and professional development of direct reports
Confer with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems, complaints, or concerns
Initiate and assist with the creation, development, and implementation of processes and procedures
Conduct daily safety checks, weekly safety meetings and participate in safety committee audits
Understand workplace hazards and take steps to proactively prevent and report hazards or injuries in the workplace. Cooperate in Safety Programs, initiatives, and investigations

Perform other duties deemed necessary to support the Company’s business operations
A minimum of (2) years of supervisory/management experience in a manufacturing environment or combination of relevant education and experience.
Previous experience with ERP systems
Project management and planning skills
A bachelor’s degree with (2) years of supervisory/management experience in a manufacturing environment
SAP Knowledge
Production Planning system experience
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and problem-solving tools
Ability to work long hours and weekends as required to support the core business needs
Generate standard work instructions and process documentation.
Proven ability to manage people; train and motivate employees, as well as delegate effectively
Dependable and enthusiastic with the ability to use good judgment, work independently with minimal direction, and possess a strong initiative and positive attitude
Ability to thrive and perform well under pressure and meet deadlines
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to interpret standards, specifications, procedures, drawings, etc.
Understanding of MRP inputs and outputs

Schedule: Monday-Thursday 6AM-4:30PM
Pay: $20+/hr DOE
