Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for assisting employees with benefits, maintaining employee data base, processing payroll, managing all insurance billings, and maintaining employee files
  • Administers various employee benefit programs, such as a group insurances, pensions and investments, savings, and health maintenance organizations
  • Provides benefit orientations, enrollments, claims processing, and self-billing of insurance
  • Processes and maintains all status reports and pay changes, both on computer and by paper system in a timely and accurate manner including the COBRA program
  • Prepares and maintains employee files, paper and electronic, assuring accuracy, compliance, and confidentially to include unemployment claims, verification, I9 status, and state regulations
  • Assists in preparation of payroll, entering hours, deductions, rate changes, and transfers
  • Assists employees in filing health, dental, life, and all other related and deferred benefits claims
  • Implements new benefits programs and arranges and conducts employee information presentations and enrollments
  • Prepares and sets up meetings designed to help employees obtain information and understand company benefits and other related incentive programs
  • Responsible for employment and wage verification and posting garnishments/mileage
  • Tracks necessary data in accordance with Affordable Care Act guidelines, EEO-1 reports and other census reports as needed
  • Assists with recruiting as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned
 
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma
  • Associates Degree/Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2+ years experience as a Payroll & Benefits Coordinator
  • Experience with Affordable Care Act tracking preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word/Excel, payroll systems, human resource systems, and database software
