Quality Compliance Coordinator-1st Shift

Immediate opening for a Temporary-to-hire Quality Compliance Coordinator in the Dayton, OH area. This is a 1st shift position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate internal Auditing System
  • Conduct internal quality audits of systems, procedures, jobs and technical requirements
  • Audit job routers, oven charts, and logs for conformance to procedures and Nadcap requirements
  • Conduct in-process audits with operators and process owners on the production line
  • Employ problem solving and critical thinking skills to address audit findings
  • Implement corrective action, collaborating with engineering and technical resources as required
  • Manage and coordinate internal Corrective Action System
  • Complete and coordinate customer surveys
  • Manage Document Control Database to ensure ISO/AS compliance
  • Maintain quality system documentation and changes, distribution of updates accordingly
  • Manage Hohman Plating’s Approved Supplier List
  • Interpret ISO, AS, Nadcap and customer requirements to ensure compliance
  • Read and interpret specifications, engineering drawings, and quality documentation to support process planning and final inspection functions
  • Function as primary contact for the quality documentation and control, corrective action and approved supplier segments of the quality system during customer audits, ISO/AS, and Nadcap audits
  • Maintain specification database to support quality and process planning functions
  • Manage and maintain company profile in customer databases and portals
  • Maintain calibration equipment database
  • Conduct internal calibration of equipment according to procedures
  • Obtain quotes and issue purchase orders with comprehensive flow-down of requirements to external laboratories for testing and equipment calibration
  • Facilitate external calibration by retrieving equipment, shipping to vendor, and managing vendor communication
  • Support and facilitate quality system training for the organization as required.
  • Plan, organize and implement special projects as identified by Quality Manager
  • Support the inspection process as backup for primary inspection personnel
  • Support the periodic testing process as backup for quality engineering technician
  • Conduct continuous improvement project reviews and Corrective Action Plan updates with project teams
  • Generate reports to support quality initiatives and metrics
  • Maintain record and documentation, organization, filing and storage in accordance with quality procedures
  • Support external audits by providing and reviewing quality documentation
Requirements:
  • Associates degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school
  • 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Prior experience with ISO/AS quality and EHS systems a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Software
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
Pay range (DOE): $17-17.50/hour
